Psephia

Psephia is a new social media polling website by RobTechUK, inspired by the Ancient Greek word psephia, meaning pebble, which was once used by people to cast their vote. Because of this practice, the word psephos evolved to mean a vote or a decree. The term psephology is the scientific study of elections. The site allows users to submit questions for other users to vote on, or to vote on topics submitted by others.

A post can remain open for up to 7 days, and once voting has closed, the result will be revealed. Users will not be able to see how others have voted until the voting period has ended.

Once a vote has ended and the results revealed, comments will be turned on allowing users to discuss the poll.

Psephia is currently in development, and will be unveiled in stages, with feedback welcomed from users.

Phase one will include user accounts and verifaction, personal details, categories including politics, sport, entertainment and food and drink, as well as create poll, vote on current polls and see results.

Phase two will include email notifactions, search poll, sort by, eliminator poll, where users can submit several choices, with the choice with the fewest votes eliminated every 24 hours.

Phase three will be mainy focused on user feedback, layout, bugs and faults and a promotion launch.
